The pronouncements discussed in this course provide guidance to entities in bankruptcy that are attempting to reorganize under Chapter 11 of the Federal Bankruptcy Code, or that have emerged from Chapter 11 protection with a confirmed reorganization plan. Each pronouncement is discussed in a comprehensive format that makes it easy to understand and apply. The detailed requirements for implementing fresh-start reporting are also discussed. Practical illustrations and examples demonstrate and clarify specific accounting principles.
